Meet "HRJR"

Harold S. Reed, Jr. was born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. He briefly attended Rutgers University, before leaving school to enlist in the United States Air Force. He is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War and a retired police officer with the Township of Woodbridge, NJ where he resides with his wife and two sons. He is a Graduate of Thomas Edison State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences.

In 2006, Harold started his own business as a Motivational Speaker after inspiring his wife to turn her hobby of taking pictures into a photography business, which she does full-time to this very day. This was also when he joined Toastmasters. In 2009, he expanded his business by taking on clients as a Certified Professional Life Coach.

He has authored four Personal Development books, “Find A Way to Make A Way –You’re Either Part of the Problem or You're Part of the Solution!” (1st ed. 2007, 2nd ed. 2009, 3rd ed. 2019), “Success Is A Journey-From the Womb to the Tomb.” (2013), and Get Your Mind Right! 10 Lessons to Lead You Toward Success" (2016). In September of 2019, Harold released, "FIND A WAY TO MAKE A WAY! The Difference of a Decade" to commemorate the release of his first two editions 10 years ago.

Harold is quick to warn people that he is not your typical motivational speaker. Self-branded as “the MotivACTIONal Speaker,” Harold teaches that motive plus action equals results. While his messages are powerful and sometimes painfully honest, he believes that the solutions to many of life's problems can be found within the individual. However, if people do not face their flaws, they will not fight their flaws; and if they will not fight their flaws, they will never be free of them.
